Here are answers to our most frequently asked questions about our hands-on drug testing collector training.

What does the Drug Testing Collector Training include?
Our hands-on training teaches you how to properly perform DOT urine specimen collections in accordance with federal collection procedures.
You'll learn the collection process from start to finish, including proper documentation, completing the Federal Drug Testing Custody and Control Form (CCF), identifying common collection errors, handling problem collections, and completing the required mock collections.

Do I need experience in healthcare or drug testing?
No. You do not need previous healthcare, laboratory, or drug testing experience to attend.
Our training is designed to walk you through the collection process step-by-step, even if you're completely new to the industry.

Will I become qualified to perform DOT urine collections?
Our training is designed to satisfy the collector qualification-training requirements for DOT urine specimen collections, including completion of five consecutive error-free mock collections.
You must successfully complete all training and mock collection requirements.

Is this training hands-on?
YES. This isn't a class where you simply sit and watch a presentation.
You'll practice the collection process, complete paperwork, work through collection scenarios, and perform your required mock collections.

Do you teach me how to start a drug testing business?
The primary focus of this training is becoming properly trained to perform drug testing collections.
We also provide industry insight to help you better understand how drug testing services work as a business. However, collector training should not be confused with a complete business-launch or business-coaching program.

How much is the training?
Pricing varies based on when you register.
Early Bird seats may begin at $397, with registration increasing as the training date approaches.
Current pricing for each city will always be displayed on the registration page.

Do you offer payment plans?
Available payment options, when offered, will be displayed during checkout.
Your seat is not considered secured until the required payment has been successfully completed.

What do I receive after completing the training?
Students who successfully complete all training requirements receive documentation of their completed collector qualification training.
You'll also leave with hands-on experience performing the collection process instead of simply learning the information from a screen.

What are the five mock collections?
DOT collector qualification training requires five consecutive error-free mock collections.
These mocks demonstrate that you can correctly perform the collection process under different collection scenarios.
You'll complete your required mocks as part of the training.

How long is the training?
Training begins at 10:00 AM unless otherwise stated.
Because this is hands-on training and students must successfully complete their mock collections, the ending time may vary. Please plan accordingly and avoid scheduling tight travel arrangements immediately after class.

What should I wear?
Students should arrive in all-black business casual attire unless otherwise instructed.
We recommend comfortable clothing and shoes because portions of the training are interactive.

Where is the training held?
Training is offered in select cities throughout the United States.
The exact venue address is provided to registered students prior to training. This allows us to select the appropriate training space based on final enrollment.

Are travel and hotel accommodations included?
No. Students are responsible for their own transportation, airfare, lodging, meals, parking, and other travel-related expenses.
We strongly recommend waiting until your training is confirmed before purchasing nonrefundable travel arrangements.

Are you coming to my city?
Our tour locations are based on demand.
If your city or state isn't currently listed, submit a city request or join our email list. High-demand locations may be added to future tour dates.

Is the training felony-friendly?
Having a felony does not automatically prevent someone from learning the drug testing collection process.
However, Compliance Boss Academy cannot guarantee employment, contracts, laboratory relationships, government approvals, or business opportunities. Requirements may vary depending on the employer, client, laboratory, state, facility, or type of work you're pursuing.

Can I start my own drug testing business after taking the class?
Collector training can give you an important skill needed to provide specimen collection services, but taking one class does not automatically create a complete drug testing business.
Starting and operating a business may also require business registration, insurance, laboratory or third-party relationships, policies and procedures, marketing, client acquisition, and other operational steps depending on the services you plan to offer.

Do you offer DNA testing training too?
Yes. DNA collection training may be available as an add-on for select trainings.
If available for your class, you'll see the DNA training option during registration or receive information about upgrading your enrollment.

Do I need to own a drug testing business to attend?
No.
Students attend for different reasons. Some want to start a business, some want to add drug testing to an existing business, and others simply want to learn a new professional skill.

Can I work for someone else after completing training?
Possibly. Collection opportunities may exist with employers, collection sites, mobile testing companies, staffing companies, occupational health providers, and other organizations.
However, Compliance Boss Academy does not guarantee employment or income after training.

Do you guarantee that I'll make money after taking the training?
No.
We provide training, education, and hands-on experience. Your results will depend on how you use the skills you've learned, your business model, your market, your ability to secure clients or employment, and other factors outside of our control.

What is your refund policy?
All training purchases are nonrefundable.
Because seats, materials, instructors, and venue arrangements are planned based on enrollment, registration fees are not refundable simply because a student is unable to attend.
Please review the applicable registration terms before purchasing your seat.

What happens if Compliance Boss Academy changes or cancels a training date?
If Compliance Boss Academy needs to make a change to a scheduled training, registered students will receive instructions regarding the options available for their enrollment.
For this reason, students should avoid purchasing nonrefundable travel arrangements until the training has been confirmed.

When will I receive the exact venue address?
Registered students receive venue information before their scheduled training.
Please make sure the email address and phone number entered during registration are correct so you don't miss important training updates.
How do I reserve my seat?
Choose your training city, complete your registration, and submit payment through our official registration page.
Seats are limited, and pricing may increase as the training date approaches.
